Background:

I am New Zealand Psychologist’s Board registered Clinical Psychologist and a full member of both the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists and New Zealand Psychological Society. I have previously worked for Older Adult community mental health services as well as Women’s Health Service for the District Health Boards and have a strong interest in working with Adults and Older Adults facing mental health challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A. with Honours) Psychology
  • Master of Psychology (M.A.)
  • ​Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Clinical Psychology

Approach:

I work collaboratively with people from an attachment based and developmentally informed stance to help them feel more satisfied with their feelings, thoughts, and connections by learning to adapt effectively to situations.  My aim is to support individuals and couples to explore and uncover ways to regulate their innermost environments to be able to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. I work upon mutually established goals and strive to coach clients to become their own therapists so that they feel equipped to handle the challenges that life throws at them.

My Approach is eclectic and guided by utilising the principles and skills of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Cognitive Analytic informed therapy, along with Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing.

Fees:

The fee inclusive of GST for a 50-60 minute individual session is $230.

The fee inclusive of GST for a 80-90 minute couple session is $250

Payment can be via cash or internet banking and is payable on the day of the session. A notice of 24 hours is required for a cancelled session. Sessions that are cancelled or postponed with a notice of less than 24 hours or are not attended will be charged at 50% of the fees to cover practice costs.
