Background

I am a registered Clinical Psychologist with experience in supporting adults and older adults facing a range of mental health difficulties.

I have worked across various settings including: community older adult hospital teams, acute hospital services, private practice and in a specialist Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) service in London.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Clinical Psychology, Massey University
• Bachelor of Science (Honours) Majoring in Psychology, First Class Honours, University of Waikato
• Bachelor of Science Majoring in Psychology, University of Otago

Approach:

After spending time getting to know the client and defining the difficulties they are facing, my approach is guided by evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) skills, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Schema Therapy.

The approach used is based on the client’s individual treatment needs and goals. When you’re experiencing emotional distress, it can be difficult to know where to turn to for help. I work collaboratively with you to understand the challenges you’re facing and to tailor therapy to your individual needs and goals.

Fees:

Fees are $225 NZD (GST not applicable) for a 50-minute session and are only payable by internet bank transfer within 2 days of your invoice being received.

There is no charge if you cancel an appointment 24 hours or more prior to the scheduled time.

A 50% fee may apply to cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice.

The full fee may apply for failure to attend with no given notice
