Approach and Specialisations

I take a person-centred humanistic approach to ensure you feel heard and understood, whilst also applying evidence-based psychological services that are guided by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles. These services include assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adults or older adults who are experiencing emotional distress and mental health illnesses. These difficulties may include (but are not limited to):

  1. Depression
  2. Anxiety
  3. Panic attacks
  4. Phobia
  5. Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  6. Loss and Grief
  7. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  8. Stress
  9. Managing the challenges of life
  10. Sleep

The first session typically involves a thorough assessment to gather an understanding of the difficulties you’re currently facing and defining the goals for therapy. In the following sessions, we work together towards these goals to enable you to live a more fulfilling life.

Fees are $190 (GST not applicable) for a 55-minute session and is payable after each session through cash or New Zealand bank transfer. There is no charge if you cancel an appointment 24 hours or more prior to the scheduled time. Otherwise, a 50% fee may apply with cancellations less than 24 hours notice, and the full fee may apply for failure to attend with no notice given.
